Apsley Gorge Walk (Douglas-Apsley National Park)


A surprisingly adventurous circuit walk in Douglas-Apsley National Park, the Apsley Gorge Walk explores a beautiful section of the Apsley River. Starting near the Apsley Waterhole, the track initially passes through forest before descending to the gorge and following the riverbed to complete the circuit. Mt Amos Track (Freycinet National Park)


One of the most incredible mountain summit hikes in Australia, the trek up Mt Amos is a tough and challenging scramble in Freycinet National Park. Following an incredibly steep ascent up occasionally slippery Granite slopes, the difficulty of the trail is amply rewarded by the incredible and classic bird's eye view of Wineglass Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula. A must do for experienced hikers comfortable with scrambling

Cape Raoul Track (Tasman National Park)


The first cape of the Three Capes, the Cape Raoul Track takes hikers to the cape not visited by the Three Capes Track. Largely staying within forests, the track leads to occasional but spectacular views of the wild coast including outstanding views of the 200 metre high sea cliffs that the area is famous for. Finishing at Cape Raoul itself, this is a worthwhile walk and a good prelude to the Three Capes Track

Organ Pipes Circuit (Wellington Park)


An excellent circuit walk close to the City of Hobart, the Organ Pipes Circuit explores the best sections of bushwalking on Mount Wellington's eastern face. Starting at the Springs, the track ascends to the Organ Pipes - a series of sheer Dolerite cliffs - before descending further down the mountain along a path filled with boulder fields and heritages huts. Tarn Shelf Circuit (Mount Field National Park)


One of the best day walks in Australia, the Tarn Shelf Circuit explores the alpine section of Mount Field National Park. Starting at Lake Dobson, the trail initially passes through dryer Eucalypt forest before rising to Twilight Tarn and following the incredibly beautiful Tarn Shelf from Lake Newdegate to Rodway Hut. With spectacular glacier-carved tarns, lakes and valleys, this is a truly great all day adventure in the Tasmanian Wilderness

Lady Barron Falls Circuit (Mount Field National Park)


Also known as the Three Falls Track, the Lady Barron Falls Circuit takes walkers through the rainforests found on the lower levels of Mount Field National Park. Passing by the magnificent Russell Falls early on along the walk, the trail takes walkers to Horseshoe Falls and Lady Barron Falls while passing through beautiful forests dominated by the massive Swamp Gum or Mountain Ash - the second tallest tree in the world

Walls of Jerusalem Circuit (TAS) - Dixons Kingdom to Lake Rowallan


The final day of the classic Walls of Jerusalem Circuit, this section of the walk takes hikers off-track through Jaffa Vale to Lake Ball Hut. Following the lake shore, the track descends to Lake Adelaide before following the Junction Lake Track back to Trappers Hut past a series of smaller lakes and tarns. Featuring stunning displays of the turning of the fagus in Autumn, this is a great way to complete a visit to this spectacular park

Walls of Jerusalem Circuit (TAS) - Mt Jerusalem & Solomons Throne


Day Two of the classic Walls of Jerusalem Circuit, this day explores two of the mountain peak side trips from Dixons Kingdom. Heading up Jaffa Vale, the  first side trip takes hikers past beautiful tarns to excellent views from the summit of Mt Jerusalem. Returning to Damascus Gate, the second side trip takes the short but steep climb up Solomons Throne. A short but spectacular day - especially if you're lucky enough to have snow

The first day of the classic three day Walls of Jerusalem Circuit, this first section of the track leads walkers from the car park near Lake Rowallan to Dixons Kingdom.
