Yued Ponar Trail (Leseuer National Park)


A spectacular wildflower walk in Leseuer National Park, the Yued Ponar Trail explores a variety of elevations and vegetation types through the region's biodiverse heath. Initially starting over a creek and passing through lowlands filled with wildflowers (in season), the trail rises up to Mt Peron and the Kada Boodja lookout for an incredible variety of wildflowers. Finishing again in the lowlands, the trail ends with one of the most spectacular wildlflower displays in Western Australia during the wildflower season. A must do walk

Honeyeater Hike (Bungendore Park)


A 7.7 km forest walk in Bungendore Park, the Honeyeater Hike is the longest trail in the park's trial network. Starting at Albany Hwy, the well marked trail follows a series of vehicle tracks through the park, taking walkers to a lovely valley and heath filled with blooming wildflowers in the springtime. A detailed trail with the greatest concentration of boot cleaning stations, this is a pleasant walk option in the Perth Hills that is worth checking out

East Mount Barren (Fitzgerald River NP)


A small mountain walk in Fitzgerald River National Park, this short trail rises to the summit of East Mt Barren. Starting along boardwalk, the trail then rises steeply before a more gentle approach across a number of ridges. Scrambling to the summit, the jagged rocky shards offer commanding views of the Fitzgerald Biosphere. An excellent short walk with great views of one of Western Australia's best national parks

Plateau Loop Trail (Coalseam Conservation Park)


An excellent loop trail in Coalseam Conservation Park, the Plateau Loop Trail takes walkers through one of Western Australia's finest wildflower parks. Starting by crossing the Irwin River, the trail heads through fields of pink, white and yellow everlastings during the wildflower season. Offering views of the surrounding landscape below, this is one of Australia's best wildflower walks

Peak Head Walk Trail (Torndirrup National Park)


A shorter walk in Torndirrup National Park, the Peak Head Walk Trail explores the national park's southernmost point. Starting at Stony Hill, the trail descends steeply through heath before rising up the summit of Peak Head itself. With spectacular wildflower blooms in late Spring and breathtaking coastal scenery, this is a mini-version of the nearby Bald Head Walk Trail.

Mamang Trail (WA) - Fitzgerald Inlet to Point Ann (Beach Route)


The second day of an overnight hike in Fitzgerald River National Park, the 12.6 km return walk of the Mamang Trail follows a shorter, alternate route. Initially follow the main trail to Point Charles Junction, the alternate route takes walkers via a series of sand dunes before a long beach walk down Point Charles and St Mary Beaches. Featuring jagged rock formations and pristine beaches, this shortcut is an excellent alternative.

Mamang Trail (WA) - Point Ann to Fitzgerald Inlet


The first day of an overnight hike in Fitzgerald River National Park, the 15.4 kilometre traverse of the Mamang Trail takes walkers from Point Ann to the banks of the Fitzgerald Inlet. Starting as a beach walk, the trail heads inland through biodiverse heath, with stunning views of lakes, pristine beaches, inlets and the central wilderness peaks. A relatively easy wilderness walk, this is a superb trail in one of the state's best parks.

Lesueur & Gardner Trails (Lesueur National Park)


Combining the Lesueur and Gardner Trails, this walk is a botanical tour of Leseuer National Park - one of the greatest wildflower parks in Australia. Heading through Kwongan heathland up the short Mt Lesueur along the Lesueur Trail before looping around the Gardner Trail's circuit, this walk is filled with a brilliant display of wildflowers at every turn. A gift of WA's brilliant biodiversity, this is a must do during wildflower season.

Bibbulmun Track (WA) - Inglehope Rail Crossing to Nanga Rd


A relatively easy day on the Bibbulmun Track, this sectional day walk follows an old rail formation from Inglehope Rail Crossing to Dwellingup, passing many historic sites along the way. Morning walkers can be treated to the Hotham Valley train passing by near the Track, with Dwellingup offering some good dining options before the trail continues on through lush jarrah forests to Nanga Rd.

Bibbulmun Track (WA) - Nanga Rd to Yarragil Form


Some of the best walking that the Jarrah forests have to offer, this sectional day walk on the Bibbulmun Track explores the surprisingly lush, wildflower-filled woodlands near Dwellingup and in Lane Poole Reserve. On the way to Swamp Oak campsite, a stretch through pine plantations offers an interesting change of pace. Later, an old vehicle track offers a relatively easy walking before a steep ascent and descent to Yarragil Form.

Echidna Trail (Walyunga National Park)


The longest of the five walks in Walyunga National Park, the Echidna Trail takes walkers along the Avon River before heading up the valley into less explored areas of the park. Featuring expansive views of the Avon Valley and Perth in the distance, the trail is also one of the best in Perth for spotting grazing kangaroos. This trail is at its finest in late winter/early spring with the waters flowing and the park's wildflowers in bloom.

Bibbulmun Track (WA) - Marginata Rd to Sullivan Rock


Arguably the best sectional day walk in the Darling Scarp, this 22 kilometre trek takes walkers from the little known access point on Marginata Rd to Sullivan Rock. Along the way, walkers get to cross a bridge over the same Canning River that feeds into the Swan River and climb over the small mountains of Mt Cuthbert and Mt Vincent.  With stunning views of of the Darling Scarp, this is a walk of challenge and reward in equal measure.
